Three ways to use them
1. Print or save as PDF
Each checklist has a print button, and the printed version leaves out the site menus so the checklist works on a clipboard. Several also add lines for the address, date and inspector.
2. Tick on screen
Open a checklist on your phone or tablet and tick as you go. Ticks are not saved, so print or save a PDF if you need a record.
3. Do it in the app
Run the same checks in the app named on each card. Photos and findings are captured on site, even without signal, and turned into a finished report.

How these checklists are written and checked
Each checklist is written by ProSurvey Apps Limited from the official guidance, legislation and industry standards it relies on, and links those sources so you can check them yourself. Where a rule depends on the country, the page says which country it covers, usually England. Each page shows the date it was last reviewed.
The checklists support a competent person’s inspection; they do not replace professional advice, a specialist diagnosis or a formal template that a code of practice requires. If you spot something out of date, our editorial standards page explains how to send a correction.
Linking to and sharing the checklists
You are welcome to link to any checklist from a website, blog, training pack or client email, and to print copies for your team. Are these survey and inspection checklists free?
Yes. Every checklist on this page is free to read, tick on screen, print and share, with no sign-up. The apps that run the same checks with photos and a PDF report are free to download too; PropertySurvey Pro and DampApp Pro have optional Pro subscriptions, and HousingSurvey Pro starts with a free Solo plan.
Do the tick boxes save my progress?
No. Ticks on screen are not saved, so they clear when you leave or reload the page. To keep a record, print the checklist or save it as a PDF from the print dialog, or run the inspection in the app, which stores the survey on your device.
Can I use these checklists in my business?
Yes. Surveyors, inspectors, landlords and agents are welcome to use them on their own jobs, print copies for site and share links with clients and colleagues. Please link to the page rather than copying the text, so readers always see the latest reviewed version.
Which country’s rules do the checklists follow?
The physical checks apply to most homes and commercial buildings, but where a checklist relies on law or official guidance it follows the UK, and usually England specifically. Each checklist says which rules it covers and links the official sources, so check local rules if your property is in Scotland, Wales, Northern Ireland or elsewhere.
