What we do
Most survey reports are still written twice: once as notes on site, and again at a desk in the evening. We build apps that remove the second sitting. The surveyor captures photos, readings and observations on the device, works offline, drafts the wording with tools they control, and hands over a finished PDF before leaving the property.
We make three products because the work differs. A damp and timber specialist needs moisture readings, dew point and condensation checks. A general property surveyor needs condition ratings, dilapidations schedules and inventories. A housing association needs evidence it can defend across thousands of homes. Each product is built for one of those jobs, and each has its own site, help centre and pricing.

How we build
Offline first
Surveys happen in basements, roof voids and rural lanes. Capture, calculations and the PDF report all run on the device, so the job never waits for a signal.
AI drafts, people decide
AI Polish and Talk through a room turn notes into draft wording. The surveyor reviews and edits every word. Our AI never diagnoses a defect, scores a hazard or signs a report.
A free tier that does real work
DampApp Pro and PropertySurvey Pro run real surveys and export real reports for free. Pro is for people who want cloud sync, their own branding and more AI, not a toll on basic use.
Your data, your reports
Surveys live on your device unless you turn on Pro cloud sync. Reports are yours to keep and share, and you can export or delete your data at any time.
Standards-informed, never standards-endorsed
Our templates follow the published guidance surveyors work to, such as HHSRS and Awaab's Law. No professional body or government department endorses our apps, and we never suggest otherwise.

Website content is authored and maintained by ProSurvey Apps Limited. Technical content is written and reviewed by the ProSurvey Apps Limited product and engineering team, led by Martin Adams. We do not claim endorsement by RICS, any trade body or government. Where an article has an external specialist reviewer, their identity, credentials and public professional profile are published alongside it.
Editorial method
Product claims are checked against current application behaviour. Legal, health and standards material is informational and is reviewed against primary sources such as legislation, government guidance, standards bodies and original research. Product software does not replace a competent person's inspection, diagnosis or statutory responsibilities.
Core evidence sources
Our legal, health and standards content is reviewed against primary sources, including:
- World Health Organization guidelines for indoor air quality: dampness and mould, published 1 January 2009.
- GOV.UK Awaab's Law Phase 1 guidance for social landlords, published 17 October 2025 and last updated 16 July 2026.
- GOV.UK Housing Health and Safety Rating System landlord and agent guide; the rating system was introduced under the Housing Act 2004.
- The Housing Health and Safety Rating System (England) (Amendment) Regulations 2026, in force from 23 June 2026, which reduced the hazards assessed in England from 29 to 21.
Specialist review programme
We invite practising building surveyors, damp and timber specialists, property inspectors, housing-condition professionals and facilities specialists to review relevant technical pages. Before naming a reviewer, we verify their identity, current credentials and public professional profile. The page will identify what they reviewed, the review date and any commercial relationship. Practising specialists can apply using our specialist review enquiry form.
Named client case studies
We publish a named client case study only with written permission covering the organisation name, participant name, quotations, screenshots and measured results. The client receives the final draft for factual approval, and incentives or commercial relationships are disclosed. Anonymous or composite customer stories are not presented as case studies.
Product evidence and statistics
Proprietary product statistics will be published only from consented, aggregated data with a stated date range, sample size, inclusion rules and calculation method. Small groups are suppressed to reduce re-identification risk. We currently publish no proprietary performance statistic because no qualifying dataset has completed that process.
Corrections
We update pages when product behaviour, official guidance or legislation changes. Corrections can be sent through our correction form with the page URL and supporting source.
